I really loved this book and I enjoyed reading it in French. If you are starting to learn another language whether it is French, Spanish, German, etc. You should read children's books on a daily basis to begin with just to help yourself get familar with the language and the sentence structure. It has really helped me!
I'm studying French and was shocked that the book including a word that wasn't in my French dictionary. "Refrogeirement" - not quite it but something similar that began "refrog". Otherwise, I love the book

Classic book. We bought the French version because our daughter's name is Madeleine and the English version is spelled "Madeline."
The translations are excellent - very true to the original English. Yes, the books were written in English first.
I purchased this book as a gift for a four and a half year old relative. I was very pleased with the quality of the book as well as the fact that the book was the full story. I wold have liked the book to have been a little larger, however, I purchased the book knowing the measurements as they had been described in the product description, so that is not the fault of the company. Overall, I am happy with this book as is the child who received it!
Not as good as the English (original) version, but well translated. Great book about France in French. For slightly above beginner level readers.
Quite expensive but like the original. Have a little friend who just turned 10 and wants to learn French. Gave her this copy plus the English one.
